Needless to say, this is the hottest trending topic right now and quite possibly, in the history of Google search.
In case of any sort of emergency people immediately turn to Google first. From the smallest concerns to the biggest problems, there is a level of trust that people have in Google search results and the outbreak of Coronavirus is no different in that regard. Data shows that searches for Coronavirus have massively spiked on Google.
When the first few cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Wuhan, China, perusing through the web about this disease started out of curiosity. However, with the rapid increase in the number of cases and deaths recorded, more and more queries overflowed out of fear. Countries have gone into quarantine now. Schools/colleges have been shut and offices have urged their employees to work from home.

A considerable amount of queries were about how one should tackle loneliness now that everyone is locked in their homes. Forums and discussion panels online have seen traffic like never before. Countless Coronavirus jokes and memes have also been in the list of searches. It is safe to say that this disease has struck fear in the hearts of everybody, unlike anything else.
