The other two are quieter but useful. Multi-brand groups can "claim and manage Search profiles for all of your sub-brands from a single login", and article display now has "image thumbnails… optimized to help your articles look their best" with longer headlines — Google's announcement →
What this means for Indian publishers
Honestly: not much yet, and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise. Google's post is explicit that this widens eligibility for US publishers and creators. It does not state availability anywhere else, so if you are publishing from India there is nothing to claim this week.
What it does tell you is the direction. Google is steadily making it cheaper for a publisher to have a verified, branded identity in Search, and the threshold has fallen 90% in about two months. The sensible move is to have the follower base and the publishing consistency in place before the door opens here — which is ordinary SEO and content work, not a new project.
