SEO Packages
What each tier actually includes, honest monthly ranges, and the deliverables most proposals leave out.
Most SEO proposals are impossible to compare, and that is not an accident.
Three tiers, a column of ticks, words like "on-page optimisation" and "content creation" with no quantity attached. Two agencies can quote the same number for work that differs enormously.
So this page does the opposite. Real ranges, what sits in each tier, what is excluded, and the questions we would want you asking us. If you want the underlying economics rather than the packages, that is what SEO costs in India.
The three tiers
| Tier | Monthly range | Built for | The work |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | ₹25,000 – ₹50,000 | A single-location business or a small site in a soft category | Technical fixes, on-page optimisation across existing pages, Google Business Profile, two to four new pages a month |
| Growth | ₹50,000 – ₹1,00,000 | An established site in a contested category | All of the above, plus content at pace, internal linking programme, digital PR and monthly technical monitoring |
| Enterprise | ₹1,00,000 – ₹1,50,000+ | Large catalogues, multi-location, or multi-market sites | Dedicated technical and content workstreams, log analysis, template-level fixes, structured internal linking at scale |
These are market ranges rather than a rate card, and we will not quote a number before seeing the site. Anyone who does is quoting a template, not your problem.
What is in every tier — including the cheapest
Some things should never be an upgrade. If a proposal sells you these as a premium add-on, that tells you what the base tier is not doing.
- A strategy. Which queries, in what order, and why. Every tier has one or the tier is just activity.
- Technical health. Indexing, internal linking, crawlability. There is no point ranking a page Google cannot read.
- Reporting that contains a decision. Not a screenshot of positions — what changed, what it means, what happens next month.
- Access to the people doing the work. If you only ever speak to an account manager, you are paying a margin for translation.
What sits outside the fee
- Paid media spend. If a proposal bundles SEO and ads into one number, ask for the split. They are different disciplines with different economics.
- Website development. We will specify the technical fixes. Someone has to implement them, and if that is not your team it is a separate cost.
- Premium tools where a client wants their own licences rather than working through ours.
- Photography, video and design beyond what a page needs to function.
- Paid placements. We do not buy links, so this is not a line item — but if another proposal is cheap, this is worth asking about.
How long before it works
Roughly three to six months for meaningful movement, compounding after that. Local SEO can move faster because the map pack responds to profile completeness and reviews rather than domain authority.
What that means practically: a three-month SEO engagement is not a test, it is a deposit. If you need enquiries this quarter, run paid search alongside and let SEO mature underneath it — the trade-off is set out in SEO vs PPC.
How to compare our proposal against another
| Ask both agencies | Why it separates them |
|---|---|
| How many pages per month, new versus rewritten? | The biggest cost variable, and the most commonly hidden |
| Who writes the content, and can I see three examples in my sector? | Separates in-house writing from outsourced volume |
| How do you acquire links? | If the answer is vague, it is usually bought |
| What happens in month one specifically? | A real plan names an audit and a fix list, not "onboarding" |
| What would make you tell me to stop? | An honest agency has an answer. See SEO for small business for when it is not the right spend. |
When SEO packages are the wrong purchase
Worth saying on a page whose job is to sell them.
- Nobody searches for your category yet. SEO captures demand; it does not create it.
- You need revenue this month. Paid search is the honest answer.
- Your site does not convert the traffic it already has. More visitors multiply an existing leak.
- You cannot commit for two quarters. Three months of SEO buys the setup and none of the return.
What happens when you get in touch
- We look at the site before we talk about money. Indexation, technical health, what is already ranking and where.
- We tell you which tier fits, including when it is the cheapest one.
- You get a scope with quantities in it — pages, not adjectives.
- Month one is an audit and a fix list, with the technical work sequenced first.
The full picture of what the work involves is in our SEO guide, which is free and does not require talking to us at all.
Frequently asked questions
What is included in an SEO package?
A complete package covers technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content production, internal linking and link acquisition, plus reporting. Strategy and technical health should be in every tier including the cheapest — if they are sold as an upgrade, the base tier is not doing them.
How much do SEO packages cost in India?
Market ranges run roughly ₹25,000 to ₹50,000 a month for a small site, ₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000 for a competitive category, and ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,50,000 or more for large catalogues and multi-location sites. These are ranges rather than a rate card — the scope depends on where the site is starting from.
How long is a typical SEO contract?
Six months is the shortest engagement that gives SEO a fair test, and twelve is more realistic for a competitive category. Three months buys the audit, the technical fixes and the first content — but it stops before the compounding starts, which is the part you were paying for.
Do you guarantee first page rankings?
No, and we would treat that promise as a warning sign from anyone. Nobody controls Google's results. A ranking guarantee is either meaningless or a commitment to tactics that carry real risk to your site. We commit to method, cadence and honest reporting instead.
Can I change package tiers later?
Yes, and most engagements do. It is common to start heavier while technical debt is cleared and the first content is built, then settle into a lighter maintenance retainer once the foundations hold. Moving up mid-engagement is equally normal when a category turns out to be more contested than expected.
