SEO Services in India that compound instead of stopping
Technical fixes, content built around what people actually search, and links worth having — measured against enquiries, not against a rankings screenshot.
SEO is the slowest channel we sell and the only one that keeps working after you stop paying for it.
Both halves of that sentence matter. If you need enquiries this quarter, organic search is the wrong first move and we will tell you so on the call — the honest comparison is in SEO vs PPC. If you are still renting every visit in a year's time, that is the problem this service exists to solve.
Here is what is actually in it, what it costs, and what we refuse to do.
What our SEO services include
Six workstreams. Most engagements run all six, weighted differently depending on what your site is missing.
01 Technical SEO
Crawlability, indexation, site speed, structure and everything that quietly stops a good page from ranking. This is where we start, because content added to a broken foundation is money spent twice.
Foundation first02 Keyword & intent mapping
Which queries are worth chasing, what shape of page each one wants, and which URL owns it. One entity, one page — the discipline that prevents your own pages competing with each other.
Decides everything after03 On-page optimisation
Titles, headings, internal links and the copy itself on pages that already exist. Usually the fastest movement in the whole engagement, because the authority is already there.
Fastest movement04 SEO content
Pages for the queries nothing on your site currently answers — written to be read, structured to be quoted. Depth over volume, because thin pages published weekly do not add up to authority.
Where rankings live now05 Links & digital PR
Earning mentions from places that already have credibility — digital PR, industry publications, genuine partnerships. The slowest workstream and the hardest to fake safely.
The slow part06 Measurement & reporting
Non-brand impressions, rankings by intent, enquiries by landing page. Reported monthly in a format you can verify yourself inside Search Console rather than take on trust.
Checkable, not flatteringIf you want the mechanics behind any of these, the learning side of the site covers them properly: technical SEO, keyword research, on-page SEO, off-page SEO and link building. The full picture is in our SEO guide.
How an engagement actually runs
The sequence matters more than the tactics. Doing these out of order is the most common reason SEO retainers produce nothing for six months.
- Weeks 1–2 · Audit and baseline. Technical crawl, current non-brand impressions, what already ranks, and what is being cannibalised by your own pages. We record the starting position before touching anything, because without a baseline nobody can honestly claim progress later.
- Weeks 2–4 · Keyword and intent map. Every target query assigned to exactly one URL, with the page type each query wants. This document is the plan for the next twelve months — see search intent for why the shape of the page decides more than the words in it.
- Weeks 3–8 · Fix the foundation. Indexation problems, Core Web Vitals, internal linking, redirect chains, duplicate URLs. Unglamorous, and frequently where the first measurable movement comes from.
- Month 2 onward · Optimise what exists. Rewrite and restructure pages already earning impressions. Cheaper and faster than new content, and it is where striking-distance pages get pushed onto page one.
- Month 2 onward · Build what is missing. New pages for queries no URL currently owns, produced at a cadence the plan can sustain rather than one that looks impressive in a proposal.
- Ongoing · Earn authority. Digital PR and links, running continuously in the background because it is the workstream with the longest lag.
- Monthly · Report and re-decide. What moved, what did not, and what we are changing. Including the months where the honest answer is "not much yet, and here is why".
Organic SEO services, or paid search?
This is the question worth settling before you sign anything, and the answer depends on how long you can wait rather than on which channel is better.
| Organic SEO | Paid search | |
|---|---|---|
| Time to results | 3–6 months, then compounds | Days |
| What happens if you stop | Declines slowly over months | Stops the same day |
| Cost per visit over time | Falls as the asset matures | Flat, or rises with competition |
| Best for | Categories with steady, repeatable demand | Immediate cash flow, testing offers |
| Main risk | Slow to show whether it is working | You never stop paying |
Most businesses we work with need both, in that order of urgency and the reverse order of importance. Paid buys you the quarter. Organic buys you the year.
What SEO services cost
As market ranges rather than a rate card, monthly SEO retainers in India run roughly:
- ₹25,000 – ₹1,50,000+ for SEO, driven mostly by category competition and how much content the plan requires.
- ₹15,000 – ₹50,000 for single-location local SEO, which is a narrower scope — that sits with local SEO services.
What actually moves your number is competition, the state of the site you are starting from, how many pages need producing, and whether links are in scope. We break the reasoning down properly in what SEO costs in India, and if you would rather see it as tiers, that is on the SEO packages page.
A quote far below these ranges is not a bargain. It is fewer hours, more junior hours, or a template applied to your business. Sometimes that is genuinely fine. It is rarely what the buyer thought they were getting.
What we measure — and what we refuse to report
SEO reporting is unusually easy to make flattering, so it is worth being specific.
| We report | Why it is honest | We do not lead with |
|---|---|---|
| Non-brand impressions | People finding you who were not already looking for you by name | Total impressions, which brand searches inflate |
| Rankings grouped by intent | Shows whether commercial terms are moving, not just easy ones | A screenshot of your best keyword |
| Enquiries by landing page | Connects the work to the thing you actually want | "Traffic is up" |
| Pages in striking distance | Tells you what is about to happen, not just what did | Vanity keyword counts |
Everything above is visible in your own Search Console. That is deliberate — you should be able to check us without asking us.
What we will not do
Short list, and the reason it exists is that all four are still routinely sold in this market.
- Guarantee rankings. Nobody outside Google controls its ranking systems. A guarantee is either about a term nobody searches, or it is a promise someone cannot keep.
- Buy links from networks. It works until it does not, and the cost of the recovery lands on you rather than on the agency that did it.
- Publish thin content at volume. Forty pages that each restate what already ranks do not add up to authority. They add up to a crawl budget problem.
- Report on traffic while enquiries stay flat. If sessions are climbing and nothing is arriving in your inbox, the honest thing is to say the strategy is targeting the wrong queries.
Does this cover ecommerce, SaaS or multi-location businesses?
Yes, with different weightings — and it is worth knowing which one you are before the first call.
- Ecommerce shifts the work toward category page architecture, faceted navigation and product schema. The mechanics are in our ecommerce SEO guide.
- SaaS and B2B shift it toward comparison and bottom-of-funnel content, because the buying group researches for months before anyone fills a form.
- Multi-location businesses need location page architecture on top of the core work, which sits with local SEO.
- Enterprise SEO in India is usually less about tactics and more about getting changes shipped across teams — the constraint is rarely knowing what to do.
Sector-specific work is on our industries pages.
Where SEO ends and the neighbouring services start
Three things get sold as SEO that we keep separate, because they are different work with different measurement.
- Being found inside AI answers — ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews. Related discipline, different tactics, and it has its own page: AI SEO, AEO and GEO services.
- Local and map-pack visibility — profile management, citations, reviews. That is local SEO services.
- Content as a programme rather than as an SEO input — that is content marketing.
If the right answer for you is one of those three rather than this one, we would rather say so at the start.
What we can and cannot show you
We have run search and performance work for brands including Dr Batra's, Jaro Education and DrinkPrime, across healthcare, education and consumer categories.
What we are not going to do on this page is publish a traffic graph or a revenue figure and ask you to take it on trust. Client results sit under NDA more often than not, the numbers that look best are rarely the representative ones, and an agency's own case studies are the least verifiable evidence available to you. If you want a reference in your specific category, ask on the call — we will tell you honestly whether we have one, and say so plainly when we do not.
Frequently asked questions
What do SEO services actually include?
Six things, in rough order of sequence: fixing whatever stops search engines crawling and understanding the site, working out which queries are worth chasing, optimising the pages that can realistically rank, producing content for the queries no existing page answers, earning links from places that already have authority, and reporting on it in a way you can check. An engagement that only does the last three is a content service wearing an SEO label.
How long does SEO take to work in India?
Three to six months before results are meaningful, then compounding after that. Technical fixes can move things within weeks because you are removing an obstacle rather than building authority. New content and links are slower, and competitive commercial terms take longer still. Anyone promising first-page rankings in thirty days is either targeting terms nobody searches or is about to do something you will have to undo.
How much do SEO services cost in India?
As a market range, monthly SEO retainers run from about ₹25,000 to ₹1,50,000 and above, driven mostly by how competitive your category is and how much content the plan needs. Local SEO for a single location sits lower, around ₹15,000 to ₹50,000. These are ranges rather than a rate card, and a quote far below them usually buys fewer hours than the buyer expects.
Can you guarantee a number one ranking?
No, and neither can anyone else. Nobody outside Google controls its ranking systems, and you are competing in results shared with everyone else in your category. What we will commit to is method, reporting cadence and honest timelines. Treat a guaranteed ranking as a reason to walk away rather than a reason to sign — it usually means either a term nobody searches, or tactics that carry a penalty risk you inherit.
Do I need SEO if I am already running Google Ads?
They do different jobs and the honest answer depends on your timeline. Paid search buys traffic immediately and stops the day you stop paying. SEO takes months and then keeps working. Most businesses we work with need paid for cash flow now and organic so that in a year they are not renting every visit. Running both also makes each cheaper to judge, because you learn which queries convert before you invest content in them.
Will you work with our existing developer or in-house team?
Yes, and on most engagements that is the faster route. We are frequently the ones writing the technical requirements that someone else implements, particularly on migrations and site rebuilds. What we need is access to analytics and Search Console, and a named person who can actually ship changes. An SEO engagement with no route to changing the website is an expensive audit.
We will tell you if SEO is the wrong place to start
Send us your site. You will get the non-brand queries you are already close on, the technical issues holding pages back, and an honest view on whether organic or paid should have your next rupee.
